Is it the Weekend Yet?

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

We ran to the grocery store this morning. Of course the kiddos pushed the little carts. I need those carts to be a little bigger, so I can get more stuff! They were so good for me at the store. We then went to park day. I felt like I haven’t been to park day in a while. It was at Lower Peter’s Canyon Park. The kids had a great time. They were really into playing in the sand today. I swung Nicole for a while and Justin wanted to play in the water fountain. After we picked up grandma/pa at the car dealership. The kids were happy to see them. They swung and played in the back yard for a while. They both took a great nap today 🙂 After nap Paula and Krista came over to play. It was a short play time but fun. Dad went to mow the lawn and the lawn mower isn’t working. We are still tired, recovering from Nicole waking up I guess. Time for bath then I am going to take a walk with a girlfriend.

Loads of Fun

Tuesday, April 15th, 2008

I did laundry this morning and Nicole informed me baby’s shirt was dirty and it needed to be washed too, silly girl. The baby is so dirty but she doesn’t care about that just the shirt! This morning we met Vena, Candice, and Stacie at the park. We were going to swimming but it was too cool out, so we played at the park. The kids had fun playing. Justin was really into climbing, little monkey. We came home and packed up a lunch and strolled/walked to pre school. The kids and I had a picnic lunch outside of pre school, it was fun. Nicole refuses to sit on the grass so she sat on her blanket and was perfectly content. The kids were excited to go to mommy and me pre school. They changed the structure a bit, so we first played outside. The kids had a blast using spray bottles of paint. There was a big piece of paper on the fence and Justin loved it! We did loads of bubbles and painting. It was a great time at pre school. Then we went inside and did play do and painted/glued and used feathers. The kids of course had to wash their hands a lot. Snack time and circle time then time to walk home. Surprisingly the kids stayed awake in the stroller, so when we got home I put them down for a nap. Well they didn’t nap too long-ugh. Nicole says her teeth hurt. She was a little cranky when she woke up, so after nap we just stayed home. We played with lots of toys, did puzzles, balls, etc. When daddy got home we ran to the marketplace for dinner. They of course like the fountain and were so happy to be running around and really into jumping. We ran to Target and came home played and then to bed.

Take It Easy Day

Monday, April 14th, 2008

Well this morning, we were supposed to go to the Flower Fields in Carlsbad. But the kiddos woke up a ton last night. I didn’t want to take them just in case they weren’t up for it. So we played it safe and took it easy. We stayed home and played for a while and watched a little Sesame Street. We ran to Target as I needed a gift for a birthday party this weekend. Then we went to Hush Baby at the District for story time. This story time was awesome. She sang a lot and had a bunny. The bunny was a big hit. Justin and Nicole loved it! At the end of the story time the kids got to pet the bunny and was just all smiles. Then the story lady painted a flower on Nicole’s hand and a snake on Justin’s. It was a great morning. We came home and had lunch then nap. The kids took a great nap today, probably since they didn’t sleep that well last night. We decided to take it easy after nap. We went and got a see saw for the yard. The kids love the see saw. We played out front while waiting for daddy to come home. The kids kept saying about the see saw “no big kids, just for Nicole and Justin”. They decided they have assigned seats on the see saw and that their friend Ryan would sit in the middle. We played in the backyard for a bit, the kids swung and then it was time for dinner. After dinner the kids had a blast painting. So cute to watch them. What a mess, paint everywhere. It was ghetto painting as we used a pizza box taped to the table as an easel. It was pretty funny but they loved it. Plus they were naked so that they didn’t get paint on their clothes.

We Got A Break

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

I went for a bike ride this morning with a friend. It was a nice ride. This morning we went to go pick up Minnie Shoes for Nicole. She loves them! They are a little big but she didn’t care one bit. We went for a walk in Lake Forest in the woodsy area. It was fun. Although Nicole kept saying “shoes all sandy” and kept on wanting to dump her shoes. Justin loved it. They absolutely loved throwing rocks into the little streams. They also loved picking dandellions and blowing the white stuff everywhere. I picked the flowers (weeds) for them and Justin would say “I want two”. It was cute and just a nice time out with the kids. Then we met grandma/pa at The Hat for lunch. The kids were so excited to see them but they barely ate. They had more fun playing. After grandma/pa offered to take the kiddos for the afternoon. So we drove the kiddos there and luckily they took a nap there-we went the long way so they got a little more sleep. It is still so hard for me to leave the kids, but I knew they would be fine. We came home for a bit. So weird but nice to be home without the kiddos. Then we hooked up the hitch and put the bikes on the car, and went down to Newport. We biked around a bit and biked to dinner. We had dinner at a place called 3thiry3. It was such a beautiful day in Newport and was great to have alone time with Bret. The kiddos were so happy when we picked them up. They had a great time. As the kiddos say “we did it again”. I am so tired, off to bed.

Hot Hot Hot

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

It was so hot today! We played in the garage this morning a bit as it was a mess. Kids played, we cleaned. Then we went to the MV mall. We played in the play area for a bit. The kids had to take off their shoes. Their big thing is climbing on everything, the cow, the cars and jumping off. Then they had to slide down the slide (little slide) on their backs and head first. It was then time for Justin’s haircut. He did so well again, we went into the quiet room again and he got to watch Thomas. He looks like such a big boy. He got to pick out a lollipop at the end too (his favorite part). We played on the lights for a while. It was a fun mall day. We then went to Aliya’s 2nd birthday party. The kids were so excited for the Barney party, but it was hot. She had a bounce house there but the kiddos were a bit too hot to jump. They were so excited for the cake. I guess birthdays are the only time they get cake. We pushed a little late nap and the kids were having melt downs. We got them home and into their cribs. They only took a short nap. So after nap we did the water table. They love it. I think we filled it up about 10 times. We went over to Neyha’s complex and went swimming with them. The kids looked so cute in their bathing suits, with Nicole’s tattoo on her belly of Abbey Cadaby. Swimming was so much fun. Justin loved it; he was literally smiling the whole time. Justin and Krish were so happy to be in the water. Nicole got used to it but was a little nervous. She just wanted to be held while Justin was busy jumping, kicking, etc. Nicole didn’t like when the big kids splashed. I didn’t even think about dinner, so it was getting late-we ran to Woodbury Center and got a pizza. The kids had their baths and were pretty tired tonight. Nicole is wearing big girl jammies tonight. I need to get Justin some new jammies. They are growing up so fast.

Music

Friday, April 11th, 2008

This morning we met Andrea (Jake and Abi) at the MV mall. We played in the play area for a bit. Justin asked for the lights. So we went down and played on the lights. He just loves that, stepping on the balls, etc. It was so cute to watch him. We looked at the water fountains a bit and the kids loved throwing in money. Then we went to Pottery Barn Kids for a sing-a-long. It was really cute. The kids really liked it. Nicole danced a bit but mostly the kids were on my lap. I am glad we went. We walked around the mall a bit and all ate lunch together. It was so cute watching all the kids share their lunches. We came home and the kids took a little nap. I caught up with a friend I hadn’t talked to in a while on the phone during nap. Then after nap Jen (Ryan and Matthew) came over. Justin and Ryan were so excited to play with the water table. They pretty much played with it the entire time. It was cute they both copied each other. Then they get into the dirt and were just boys or should I say naked boys. Nicole played a little with the water table but she just enjoyed pushing baby Matthew in the swing. She was also playing in her house, getting us Starbucks. The weather was so nice today that we were just outside almost the entire afternoon and evening. The kiddos are starting to play the piano and sing while they pound the keys. It was just a nice night since daddy was home. The last two nights we haven’t seen much of dad with Sea World and work.

Non-Stop Talking

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Well of course even after going to bed late last night the kiddos were up at their usual time today. Bret was up late working last night and I am still tired from Sea World. This morning the kids were talking up a storm about Sea World. It was funny. They talked to grandma/pa all about their time yesterday; it was cute. This morning we ran to the store as we were out of apple juice and milk. The kids love pushing the little grocery carts. Although the people at Pavillions said people were stealing them so there were only 2 left. I hope those stays as it makes grocery shopping more fun. My car is configured inside differently so the kids loved the back row being up and played in the car a bit. They did so well listening to me saying not to go up in the front. Vena (Cole and Grant) came over this morning. The kiddos had fun playing together. It was fun watching them all. We met dad for lunch today, so he could spend some time with the kids. Bret had to do some side work tonight, so he wouldn’t be home before the kiddos went to bed. Then nap time. After nap I gave the kiddos a bath, since we missed bath yesterday. It was nice as they could stay in the bath as long as they wanted. They had a fun bath, coloring, playing with bubbles, etc. Then we had a snack and took the tricycles outside in the front. They had so much fun riding their trikes. Then grandma/pa came over to play a bit. The kids had fun playing with them. The kiddos were a bit sleepy tonight and went down fairly easily for me. They were so into reading books tonight. Nicole refused to wear a diaper to bed. Her night time diapers have been dry so hopefully no accidents.

Sea World

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

What a fun special day I had with the kids at Sea World. Paula and I braved it to Sea World, out numbered by kids. It was fun showing the kids everything. The first show we saw was the dolphin show. The kids were just mesmerized, just sitting there and wouldn’t talk. I kept on offering to put them on my lap to see better, but they liked sitting on the benches. We saw lots of stuff, I think I have officially overwhelmed the kiddos. They really just enjoyed walking around slowly and looking all around. We saw flamingos, sharks, fish tanks, turtles, etc. We went to a lot of the shows, the sea otter show and the pet rules show. The kids saw their first little movie, 4D. Nicole wore her glasses upside down and I had to hold Justin’s on for him. It was a Sesame Street movie. The kids were silly with the theater seating. They couldn’t understand why their seat kept folding up when they got up. Anyway they had some special effects during the show vibrating seats, and water. Nicole was so upset about the water. She cried. I told her it was just rain and now she says she is scared of rain. I guess I wiped the kids out enough that they did take a short nap in the stroller (thank goodness). When they got up they were ready to go again. I think they liked the Shamu show the best. They were so talkative during this show. Justin kept telling Shamu to do it again. Nicole told Shamu she loved him. They liked watching Shamu splash, jump, spin, etc. I even bought them little Shamu stuffed animals. After we hung out with the penguins and watched them for a while. Nicole and Justin really wanted to see the penguins swim, they kept telling them to get into the water. It was silly. We left the park and decided to stop at Carl’s Jr for dinner. On the way home, Paula’s kids all fell asleep then Justin and of course Nicole stayed awake the entire time. We dropped Paula and kids off and Justin woke up. So when we got home Nicole and Justin told daddy all about their day. It was really cute. They talked about Shamu and the trainers swimming, the little boy who volunteered, scared of rain, dolphins, penguins, etc. Now they are sound asleep sleeping with their new Shamu stuffed animals. I feel like I have so much to write but I have been going since 7:00AM and I am exhausted.

Thank Goodness for Playgroup

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

This morning we went over to Vena’s for play group. My kids love her house. They had so much fun playing with new toys. They really liked the easel and drawing. Mostly the kids played outside. Nicole really liked seeing Christy’s baby, Sienna. It was a fun relaxing morning. The kids didn’t want to come home, so we stopped at the grocery store. They must have had excess energy to burn off as they were running throughout the stores. After nap, Justin was a little cranky. Finally after an hour I got a new toys from X-mas. It was a car race track thing. Oh my god I couldn’t put it together fast enough. He was still a little cranky but excited to play with the new toy. Bret came home from work and finished putting it together why I made dinner. They barely got to play with the race car set as we had to go to Paula’s. Paula and I decided to go to Sea World tomorrow. I am so excited. We are nut with 5 kids against the 2 of us. We loaded her car seats and stroller in my car, so we can drive together. Kiddos had a blast at Paula’s and were so wound up when they came home. I don’t think we got them into bed until almost 9:00.

Monday

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Today I had the some of the girls over from the multiples group for a play date. It was fun. My kiddos of course wanted to be outside most of the day. They enjoyed watching all the other kids. Any time one child went to us the potty, Nicole wanted to watch. Justin and Nicole both sat on the couch and were entertained by all the kids. It was nice getting to know some of the mom’s. The house was a mess, toys everywhere! One of the mom’s and her triplets stayed and had lunch with us. The kiddos didn’t go down for a nap until about 2ish. After nap, I really wanted to get my car washed. So we went to Danny’s at the Market Place. I had to hold both kiddos to watch mama car go through the car wash-I was dying. While waiting for the car we went over to Toys R Us as I had to do a return and look for a gift. Of course the kids were too into everything to find a gift and I just couldn’t find the right gift. We took our time walking back to the car, looking at everything and just having fun. Then I decided to go to Costco. Scary as it was close to dinner time but the kids did terrific. We had a fun time out today. We came home and had dinner. Then we just played with the kids running around the couch and chasing them and them chasing us. We played catch for a while too. Then it was bath and time for bed. It is 10:00 and Nicole is still awake…I can’t believe it.
