This morning our play group met at South Coast Plaza. I went a bit earlier and let the kids run through the mall. They had the most fun running up and down the ramps. Then we went to Pottery Barn Kids for story time and met Maggie, Neyha, and Jen. The kids sat through the songs but weren’t too interested in the story. There were way to many other more exciting things to play with at the store. After we rode the carousal twice. They picked out which horses to ride and loved it. Then we walked across the bridge for lunch at CPK. Nicole was really into coloring while we were waiting for our food. The kids did great at lunch. On the way back, the kids and I rode down the escalator. They were so excited to do that. And of course I had the stroller so I sent it down the elevator by itself. If anything we got a good laugh. The kids both took naps then we just played. Tonight Justin went pee pee in the potty and him and I both did the happy dance together. The kids were crazy tonight running up and down the hallway naked.

This morning we did some errands then we headed to the park. We went to Woodbury Park. We met up with so many people from the mom’s club. It was nice. We had a great time at the park. The kids were so happy to be out and the weather was nice. We came home and had lunch. After nap, we headed to Northwood Park and met up with some friends, Neyha and Maggie. The kids had fun playing in the castle. They are so happy to be outside and I like it as there is no fighting. They didn’t want to leave but were so happy to find tennis balls on their walk home. They carried them in buckets-it was cute. Tonight we just played at home and bath night. They just love coloring in the bath. Baths are getting longer and longer these days.

Rainy day again 🙁 This morning we went to the MV mall. Before Justin’s haircut, we let the kids run wild in the mall before it opened. It was fun to watch them run and play. They had fun. We ran into Jacole, Andy, and Nathaniel at the mall. We also let the kids play in Pottery Barn Kids until Nicole pooped. Then we went to Justin’s haircut. He hates his haircut so we were not looking forward to it. First Cuts had a quiet room-where they put the screamy kids. Justin was excited to watch Thomas and we talked about his haircut all morning. To our amazement he did great. We were so proud of him. He just sat on mommy’s lap with a toy in his hands and watching Thomas. He was able to get his first great big boy’s haircut (pics below). I wanted to cry since he looks so much older now. The kids got lollipops at the end and their request for a yellow one was granted. Then we went and had lunch in the food court. The kids did great! Nicole didn’t nap again but Justin took a great nap. After nap we ran a meal over to a friend who just had surgery then did some shopping. Nothing too exciting since it was so cold and rainy all day. Today was Super Bowl Sunday-we are watching the commercials right now. Nicole and Justin went right to bed tonight. We had to find boo boo bunny though before Nicole would fall asleep.

I was way too exhausted to post last night. I did not sleep the night before that well and was so tired. Anyway besides my crankiness we had a good day. We went to the Santa Ana zoo. We saw lots of friends there. Andrea, Scott, Jake, and Abi were there. Nicole looks up to Abi, it is so cute. Abi hops-Nicole hops. Abi had two stuffed animal doggies on a skate board with a leash and Nicole loved them. Nicole got to pull them around too. Wherever Abi was, there was Nicole. We had fun looking at the animals, especially the monkeys swinging. Justin did not like the monkeys when they started making loud noises. Of course we went on the train too. The kids had a great time. After we went and bought new sand for the sand box and had lunch. Naps weren’t easy. I think they screamed happy sounds, jumped up and down, etc for about an hour. Of course normally I don’t mind but I wanted to sleep. After nap Bret had to take Grammy to LAX. The kids and I ran to Costco then had spaghetti for dinner. Why would I plan a messy meal like that when I am alone-HA. Then bath, by the time we were down with bath Bret was home.

This morning we hosted the 2006 play group. We went and got bagels this morning. Nicole and Justin are both learning to put their straps on in the car and snap in. They are so excited to do it that they jump right in their seats. I hope this novelty does not wear off for a while. Anyway it was nice to talk to and see our friends this morning. Nicole and Justin both hugged Krish good bye-it was darling! Nicole did not nap today and Justin only napped for about 50 minutes. So I tried to clean up from play group while Nicole played in her crib. After Justin woke up we finally made it to a park (I think it has been weeks since we were at a park). We went with Neyha, Krish, and Isha. It was great and the kids were so happy to be out until it started raining a little. Might I add I just washed my car-ugh! So we walked to Neyha’s and played there. My kids had a blast playing with all the new and different toys. I had fun playing with baby Isha. It was nice to play in a small group-I think my kids are happier with just a few kids. Anyway the afternoon went by so fast-it was nice. We came home and played a bit and read lots of books. The kids went right to bed tonight-it was nice.

The weather is getting nicer-yeah! This morning we went to the park before music class. The kids got to see the ducks and played on the swings a bit. They had a blast in music class. It is fun to watch them. They liked playing with the sticks. Grandma and grandpa had to take their cars in for service so they came over. The kiddos and I walked with the doll strollers while waiting for grandma/pa. The kiddos played in the loaner car while I washed my car. Both kids took pretty good naps. After nap we went to Pavillions. The kiddos got to push the little carts. They had a great time pushing them, putting food in them, and taking and putting the groceries on the conveyer belt. Then it was just dinner, bath, and bed. Bret went out with some work people that are here this week from Texas. He got home just in time to say goodnight to the kids.

We went to our Little People’s Morning class. We had a great time, lots of pics too. We first did some free play. Justin’s favorites were the trains and the painting. Nicole loved playing play doh and painting. The craft was so cute. They kids put paint in a shoe box and rolled marbles around in it that made a pretty picture. Then we had a little snack and songs. The kids played outside at the park for a while. After was songs and dance then story time. It was really cute and the kids had a great time. After we met Neyha, Krish, and Isha at Mimi’s. The kids did pretty good at lunch. It took the kids a while to go down for a nap but they are both napping. After nap, we just played and had fun. The kiddos were acting so silly. They were playing with the train table and looking through magazines. They were so happy to see daddy and showed him their pictures. Nicole was playing with baby toys tonight and Justin was into playing catch.

This morning we met some friends at the MV mall. It was a last minute thing. We went before the mall opened and let the kids run wild. We played at the play area for a while. My kids were jumping off the baseball. As you can see by the picture Justin would lay down to prevent Nicole from jumping and vice versa. Then we went to Pottery Barn story time. The kids were more interested in playing. They played with the kitchen, rocked on the elephant, played on the toddler beds, pushed carts and strollers. After we went to the Babystyle story time since it was right there. The kids sat for a bit as there were cool chairs (see pic). The story person wasn’t very animated but like I said the kids liked the chairs. Nicole even had to kiss and hug the chair goodbye. Then we went in front of Old Navy and let the kids jump on the lights. Justin loves it-I think he could be there for hours if we let him. After we went to the pet store and saw doggies. The play area was so crowded so we decided to head home. Well Justin fell asleep right away but Nicole was babbling for 30 minutes then I heard “mommy I pooped”. Well I went up there Justin woke up too and was as happy as could be. Nap time over! I decided to give the kids a bath-there is rarely screaming in the bath. They both had fun coloring all over the tub. Luckily the kiddos were not too cranky from bad napping. We were hoping to get them down a bit early but we were having too much fun playing with them.

Hopefully this is the last of the rain. We are so spoiled here. And I hate to complain but I am so sick of the rain. This morning I took the kiddos to Target. They needed new sippy cups as all their other ones were leaking. I let the kids pick out which ones they wanted. Nicole picked a purple one and Justin an orange one. They have been holding on to the cups all day. Of course when we were ready to leave Target it started pouring rain. We waited by the exit a bit and the kids carried their cups showing everyone. Today called for rainy day activities. We colored a bit, played music, etc. After nap we were playing with the race cars. Nicole’s car went behind the entertainment center and she was so upset. I couldn’t get it, so we called daddy. She was so funny telling daddy what happened. It was almost time to come home, so Bret came home. The kids ran up to him telling him what happened. Daddy saved the day. The kids are trying to do the Dora and Diego puzzles and we played catch for a while. Nicole is wearing big girl panties tonight and is doing well going on the potty. Justin wants to go on the potty so badly but he just doesn’t get it yet (soon buddy).

This morning we went to Target. Nicole picked out a dress she wanted for springtime. In fact she loved it so much she carried it around. Then we went to the Discovery Science Center with Andrea, Scott, Abi, and Jake. They have changed the exhibits and our kids were a little small for most of the stuff. They enjoyed seeing the Clifford stuffed animals in the gift shop while Nicole was still carrying her dress we bought at Target. Nicole loved seeing herself on TV with daddy playing volleyball. Justin loved the magnetic ball thing on the wall. Nicole played with the mail box and all the letters. Both kids liked the polpropulsion bottles. After we went to Pat and Oscar’s for lunch. The kids had a later than usual nap and Justin woke up after 45 minutes. It rained so much at nap time. We just played at home after nap then the weather cleared up. So we bundled up and went for a little walk. I am listening to Nicole on the monitor right now. Justin went right to sleep. Nicole is saying Neyha, Krish come over, and Krista and Paula come over. Then she has decided Paula is sleeping.
